Integrated Field Studies Tour of the Death Valley Region, April 15-19, 1998

This trip takes you on a spectacular route to see the tectonic realm of Death Valley including Pleistocene and Paleozoic lake bed sediments, Precambrian aulocogen sediments, volcanic features (Shoshone volcanic field, Ubehebe crater and basaltic cinder cones), historic mining districts and features associated with the extreme aridity of the Death Valley region (salt flats, sand dunes and dry lakes).
