I have retired from my lab tech position here in the SBCC Physics Department this last June 2017. I will be returning Spring Semester 2018 to lead the Problem Solving Workshops as well as a Physics 123 Lab.

Flash Physics

I've created a number of online Flash animations of various physical concepts.  Check them out here.

Physics Problem Solving Workshops

Excellence in Mathematics, Science, and Engineering (EMSE)

I lead problem solving workshops for the students in Physics 121,122, and 123 (Catalog listed as PHYS121W, PHYS122W and PHYS123W). In these EMSE (Pronounced "MC") workshops we work on developing the problem solving skills that are needed by students in science and engineering. We meet on Friday afternoons from 2:15 until 5:20 PM.

The Power of the Sun

I work with Nobel Laureates Walter Kohn and Alan Heeger on the Video 'The Power of the Sun". I did the compute animations for the video. I did most of my work on the companion educational science video "The Science of the Silicon Solar Cell". I wrote, with the help of Walter Kohn, the narrativre and did all of the animation for the video. More information can be found at the website:
